Exam Accommodation
With appropriate documentation, students may be eligible to take exams in the DRC with extended time. Private exam rooms are available for student use on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students must meet with their DRC specialist to determine if they are eligible for this accommodation, as not all students receive extended time.
Timeline
- Submit Room Reserve Form at least one (1) week before exam. Reservations for final exams must be submitted 2 weeks in advance.
- Deliver Professor Notification letter to the professor.
- Completed Exam Accomodation Form must be submitted before the time of the exam.
- Submit Request for Support Services 7 business days before exam.
- Submit Request for Interpreter 2 weeks before exam.
Steps
- Meet with DRC specialist to determine eligibility for extended time.
- Complete and submit a Room Reserve Form on-line.
- Give an Exam Accomodation Form to instructor to be filled out and submitted to the DRC front desk.
- Complete and submit a Reader, Scribe, Lab Aide Request Form to Service Coordinator as needed.
- Confirm with the Service Coordinator that your Request for Support Services has been filled.
- Complete and submit an Interpreter Request Form to Coordinator of Interpreting Services as needed.
- Confirm with the Coordinator of Interpreting Services that your Interpreter Request has been filled.
- Arrive on time for exam in the DRC. Students who are more than 20 minutes late for an exam for any reason will need permission from their DRC specialist or instructor to take the exam.
