Northeastern University

Housing Policies & Procedures

Northeastern's traditional residence halls, suite-style buildings and apartment buildings contain living environments designed for students who have disabilities, or who are Deaf or hard of hearing. All requests for disability related accommodation must be filed with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) in order to be taken into consideration as part of the Housing Selection Process. To begin this process students must meet with their assigned DRC Specialist to discuss their request for accommodation in Residence Life Housing. Individuals who are registered for services with the DRC may be asked to participate in a pre-lottery housing selection process.

Visit the Residence Life's Housing Accommodation Requests page for more information.

Please note: The Housing Accommodation Committee makes the determination of who receives special accommodation. All requests made on the basis of being disabled, Deaf or hard of hearing must be generated through the DRC, who will in turn review the documentation and make a recommendation. Please understand that submission of this form does not guarantee a specific request will be granted, but rather, will assist in evaluation of potential reasonable accommodations.
